We did LEJoG with Peak Tours. The organisation was excellent. All you have to do is get the tandem to Glossop (east of Manchester), or arrange to RV with their van that's your support vehicle. As we live only 2 hours away from Glossop, we left the tandem there before the tour.
On the start of the tour, we got a one way hire car with Enterprise, who have a depot in Penzance. Peak Tpurs picked us up from the Enterprise garage in Penzance. On our return we got the train from Inverness and picked up the tandem from Glossop the following week.

For LEJOG We drove to Reading & left our vehicle with friends. We then took the train without problem to Penzance. Return we cycled back to Inverness. Trains needed two spaces to be booked (alongside each other!) and next possible was three days. So we hired a van and drove to Dundee where a train was possible. Only certain stock accepts tandems but we had no problem.
